About this artwork
Among my works, I painted "en plain air" several landscapes. Most of them picture the hills between my region and Tuscany. I have always been inspired by these lonely rural houses standing against the woods, and by that unspeakable color of the hills at distance that dissolve into the sky in many shades of blue. It is so difficult to find that blue, "the color of distance".

Enos Venturi is an artist based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally. Creating for over forty years, his diverse compositions are colorful and peaceful, as well as discomforting and "often tangled and in dramatic relation with nature". Venturi describes his art as "Anthropocene", a term that relates to the current geological age. He favors painting with oils, charcoal, chalk, ink, and natural pigments on wood or canvas.
