About this artwork
In this transmutography, I reworked an early 20th-century Art Deco chandelier, viewing it as a metaphor for a couple united by love while maintaining their own individual identity, each emitting their own light and bathing the surrounding space in a warm atmosphere, the sum of their individual lights. The purple is the result of combining red and blue. The resin gives the work a material quality, lending it a certain three-dimensionality. A Art Deco…
