About this artwork
In this work, I unleashed raw, instinctive energy, capturing intense emotion through vibrant colors and expressive strokes. Each touch of oil and felt creates a vibrant contrast, a figure both chaotic and captivating that speaks to the soul. This piece brings dynamic force and a unique presence to your space, revealing beauty in imperfection and emotional disarray.

Eric Doisy, originally from Lille, expresses himself primarily through oil stick painting, approached in an instinctive and visceral manner. Inspired by Basquiat and Schiele, he forges a raw style, featuring recurring figures with singular graphics—small heads, asymmetrical gazes, distorted mouths. His wild and direct technique accentuates the tension between control and chaos. Through his works, he conveys a powerful emotional charge, questioning the viewer about the intimacy of their own flaws and the depth of their emotions, beyond any facade.
