About this artwork
I created this artwork to capture the intense duality of human emotions, blending light and shadow in a play of profound contrasts. Each brushstroke, combining acrylic, oil, oil pastel, and felt-tip pen, expresses a raw and vibrant aspect of our multifaceted humanity. This painting will bring passionate energy and a striking presence to your home.

Eric Doisy, originally from Lille, expresses himself primarily through oil stick painting, approached in an instinctive and visceral manner. Inspired by Basquiat and Schiele, he forges a raw style, featuring recurring figures with singular graphics—small heads, asymmetrical gazes, distorted mouths. His wild and direct technique accentuates the tension between control and chaos. Through his works, he conveys a powerful emotional charge, questioning the viewer about the intimacy of their own flaws and the depth of their emotions, beyond any facade.
