About this artwork
In this work, I unleashed the fluidity of emotions by blending abstraction, cubism, and expressionism. The raw, rich materials lend a tactile intensity, while the fragmented forms and multiple eyes evoke the complexity and multiplicity of identities. This painting creates a powerful and mysterious energy that will enliven and passionately question your space.
Eric Doisy
France
Eric Doisy, originally from Lille, expresses himself primarily through oil stick painting, approached in an instinctive and visceral manner. Inspired by Basquiat and Schiele, he forges a raw style, featuring recurring figures with singular graphics—small heads, asymmetrical gazes, distorted mouths. His wild and direct technique accentuates the tension between control and chaos. Through his works, he conveys a powerful emotional charge, questioning the viewer about the intimacy of their own flaws and the depth of their emotions, beyond any facade.
