About this artwork
I created this piece to capture raw energy, blending vintage and pop art with a sense of restrained rebellion. The figurative lines combined with the rough texture and bursts of color symbolize a powerful contrast between confinement and expression. This piece will bring an intense and dynamic presence, a visual impact that will enliven any space with boldness and character.

Eric Doisy, originally from Lille, expresses himself primarily through oil stick painting, approached in an instinctive and visceral manner. Inspired by Basquiat and Schiele, he forges a raw style, featuring recurring figures with singular graphics—small heads, asymmetrical gazes, distorted mouths. His wild and direct technique accentuates the tension between control and chaos. Through his works, he conveys a powerful emotional charge, questioning the viewer about the intimacy of their own flaws and the depth of their emotions, beyond any facade.
