About this artwork
Ezendam made this version of Gladiyola in a limited number of colours; sienna, chamois, black and amber being the most important ones. The large size of the superb Giclée-print does justice to the details of this strong nude, printed on 47 x 88 cm. of St. Cuthbert's High Quality paper from England. The edition is very limited (the process and the paper being costly), only 7 were produced. They were all signed and dated.

Eric Ezendam is a multi-disciplinary Dutch artist based in France, who has exhibited his work in the US, Netherlands, France and Belgium. Composing digital drawings and large charcoal works on paper, he combines classic techniques with contemporary conceptions to propose an intriguing style of portraiture. His representations of writers and everyday people feature a range of interesting postures, colour combinations and perspectives that play on the old and new, the weathered and the beautiful.
