This work comes from a series of lacquer pictures in which Erich Gruber refers to a certain piety in his homeland in the state of Salzburg.
The picture consists of an MDF board, which Erich Gruber primed, labeled, collaged and worked on in many layers of oil and varnish. The colors shine through the many layers of lacquer in multi-faceted shades.
Care: The bright colors are particularly preserved if the work is carefully polished with a cotton… cloth once a year.
