About this artwork
The painting is made using acrylic technique, it is an abstract composition dominated by irregular geometric shapes that overlap and fit together like fragments.
I heavily textured the painted surface with scratches, incised marks, layering, and thickness to give the painting a tactile, almost sculptural dimension. In the upper section, I created a large, dark, earthy, and rough shape, made from layered materials, looming over the underlying composition… to create a strong visual weight. The aim is to convey a sense of dynamism and tension, as if the forms were in constant motion or settling after a rupture. I avoided introducing figurative references to leave the viewer complete freedom of interpretation, inviting them to project personal emotions, interior landscapes, or fragments of experiences.

I was born in Trapani in 1936. I am a self-taught painter with a background in architecture, experimenting with oil on canvas, ink, watercolor, digital, ceramic, and wood. My flexible technique blends irrational vitalism and geometric morphologies, pursuing chromatic and formal balances with abstract accents and ironic symbolism. In my works, I have sought to convey my profound states of mind, intuitions, and emotional fragments, revealing an inner world dominated by the magic of the unconscious and the desire to connect with the deeper side of existence.
