About this artwork
Here the cathedral of Talca is presented in the foreground, with great imagination both in the application of color and in drawing.
"In these times of the whirlwind of the Internet, of digital overproduction in its most varied methods and aesthetics, the encounter with the direct and sincere painting of Estela del Valle leads us to a rediscovery of primary sensations. And, not only by application valuable for all the plastic qualities inherent… to the pictorial, but for what she wants to convey to us. She shows her world of origin, Chile: southern landscapes, port, the Salar de Atacama, stilt houses; places known and lived but that her inspiration has transfigured for painting .... "
... Over the years I could say that ...
"Art is ... dynamic, constantly evolving and transforming and it is also subjective. It is open to multiple interpretations"
« Creativity leads me to portray feelings that I do not know. »
Estela Del Valle Mañez is an experienced artist based in Chile whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Mexico, Spain, the United States, and Argentina. Early in her career, she favored Impressionism. However, after being introduced to abstraction and magical realism, Del Valle Mañez's artistic expression evolved into a distinctive fusion of genres. She primarily creates with acrylics and oils on canvas.
