« Beauty works like light through darkness, it shows us the way. I believe in the ethical function of aesthetics. »
Esther Miranda is a Spanish artist, with a degree in philosophy, who has studied painting with the teacher Jesus Rodriguez de la Torre. Since 2012 his works have been shown widely in Germany, in solo and group exhibitions, as well as in some of the most important art fairs in Europe.
His work is organized in series. The study of the person from different perspectives has always been one of the recurring points of his work, his ability to make the hidden, the essence, appear, gives his figures a disconcerting power. In all his work a game is established between figuration and abstraction, creating an illusion of reality from a strong and dynamic brushstroke.
His series about the sea, which he approaches from a subjective connection, manages to convey a universal sensation of movement, luminosity and power. Working on this topic arises from an ecological thought: the need to take care of our seas.
