About this artwork

Happiness and abundance are not distant concepts but exist within us. Through vibrant colors and symbols, this work explores an ideal world and inner happiness. The girl in the artwork is not merely a character but a symbol of beauty and freedom. Surrounded by lush nature, including flowers, birds, and fruit, she awaits the realization of the happiness that already resides within her. She does not display a specific expression or resemble a particular… person. This deliberate choice avoids imposing a fixed image of happiness, allowing viewers to interpret the piece in their own way. The harmony between the girl and the symbolic elements conveys the message that the ideal world and happiness we dream of are not far away but are already richly present within our inner world.
Since ancient times, peaches have been known as the fruit of immortals. The mythical peach, imbued with divine energy, was believed to extend life and was often associated with celestial beings or the Jade Emperor.

Eury (Yeahgean) Kim is an award-winning painter who grew up in Australia and now resides in South Korea. She has displayed her works in Belgium, China, Singapore and South Korea. Kim’s dreamlike imagery evokes a hidden and poetic atmosphere. Using techniques from both Eastern and Western artistic traditions, she employs acrylics, oils, mother of pearls on canvas, wood, and various objects in her pieces.
