About this artwork
This work was created in autumn 2022.
Inspirations were:
- the light of the lower sun, which makes all colors shine and glow more intensely.
- the smell of falling leaves
- a renewed flare of warmth and liveliness before the stillness and retreat of winter begins.
In front of a calm background in deep blue tones is a sparkling firework display in bright autumn colors. This creates depth... Dynamic lines and surfaces in turquoise, orange, pink,… red, yellow and a little brown always allow for new discoveries.
It could be the dancing play of a fire, or a storm twirling the colorful leaves... or...

The sides of the frame on the underside are also painted and there are also two professionally countersunk grommets so the work is ready to hang.
A matt varnish protects the work from the effects of light.
