About this artwork
In my work I have captured the mix of vulnerability and strength that lies in the model's gaze. Using pastel on paper, I created this figurative element that is both delicate and impressive. The subtle color nuances and the play of light and shadow bring the composition to life and bring a sensual energy to every room. Eva Galonska is a German abstract expressionist painter and a MA graduate from the University of the Arts in Berlin. Motivated by the work of artists like Münter, Macke and Kandinsky, Galonska is inspired by nature, technology and philosophy among other fields of study. Her works are bright, colorful images that attempt to bridge the gap between our conscious and sub-conscious realities.
