About this artwork
In this painting, I've channeled the deep tranquility and the mysterious vastness of the ocean into an abstraction of blues and spontaneous strokes. The texture and layers in oil paint capture the fluid motion and changing depths of water, evoking a sense of calm and introspection. This piece is not just visual art; it’s a contemplation space, inviting viewers to dive into their own thoughts and emotions while reflecting the serene yet dynamic essence…
of nature. It's an invitation to lose oneself in the infinite depths of blue, exploring peace and the unknown.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Self-taught painter with classical and modern influences, Eva Lemay learned the technique of oil painting from her artist father and later in the studio of visual artist Jean Charles Delange.
Eva works with oil paint, a suggestive, colorist figuration. Her aim is not to deliver a message, but rather to open up a space of freedom and show what we all feel and are carried away by: the impulse to live. Excessive use of color and variations in thickness and glaze enable her to conjure up images on the edge of representation, a horizon, shadows and glimmers, movement and a sober, effective poetry.
