Eva Maqueda is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Spain, Russia, Italy, and Belgium. Creating within the hyperrealism movement, Maqueda's central theme is portraits. However, she is also inspired by old objects, books, and fabrics that are worn by the passage of time. She endeavors to extract the soul of these objects in order to honor the memory of the people to whom they belonged.
