About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to convey a feeling of hope and pure freedom. With simple, naive forms, I used touches of oil paint to make light vibrate within the blue darkness. This painting invites inner peace and lightness of spirit, bringing a gentle and soothing energy that will illuminate any interior.

Eva Schmidt, a painter born in Paris, was initially an actress and model for major contemporary artists. Trained in classical drawing at the Nicolas Poussin studio and passionate about working from live models, she has developed a unique body of work, enriched by more than thirty years of exhibitions in galleries, salons and international art events.
