Magnolias in full bloom, amazing enchanting smell of lilac flowers, blooming cherry trees and purple iris flowers - all those have been capturing my attention with unusual strength this season.
No - normally I am not a flower maniac. However this year was different. Every time I decided to head for a walk I kept being bombarded by all those purples and pinks, those magical smells and delicate flowers. Perhaps it is a result of all those dark months… spent under the spell of first COVID than the war in Ukraine.. My attention seemed to magically focus itself on the beauty of those natural creations - I just could not stay passive.
This painting is about all those flowers, purple hues making their way into my system, into my soul.
