About this artwork
The idea for monochromatic painting, reduced to one color that is more or less transparent, more or less intense, was born during the group therapy I attended.
At one point, after a few hours of work, I realized that the way I saw the world was not the real truth, that I was wearing glasses with a million lenses and filters that had been created over the years. These are my ideas, expectations, the way of being that I have always been in. At one… point, several glasses fell down at once. I was in severe shock, happy but also completely overwhelmed by the fact that what I thought was the authentic reality, the truth, in a given topic, was not the truth at all.
This one color in the painting, where thousands of layers of other paints are removed, is a metaphor for therapy, where glasses lenses are removed. The truth is noticed, a specific emotion is noticed, and finally one problem is noticed. One painting is also one discovery in the topic.
