An important part of Ezshwan's life is daily mediation and she knows that going into the silence can influence her and her paintings.
This series, "Into The Silence" is my expression of the peace and serenity that can touch each life and be reflected in our faces and bodies.
She used used oil paint over black gesso. Starting with black gave her the feeling of tranquility and unlimited space.

Mexico-based painter Ezshwan Winding's work can be found in permanent collections of museums and universities across the world. After 60 years working in oil, acrylic, and welded steel, Winding fell in love with encaustic painting, a technique involving molten beeswax, tree resin, and pure pigment. Often inspired by dreams and meditation, Winding is exhilarated by the challenges posed by working in this unpredictable and fluid medium. Ranging from figurative to abstract, Winding's works are luminous and delicate.
