My painting depicts Marilyn Monroe, capturing her iconic beauty with a distinctive texture that adds depth and relief. I used a bold light blue eyeshadow and a deep red lipstick to create a strong contrast with the white of the face and the black contour.
The background is made up of streaks of bright colors that appear to drip from top to bottom, adding dynamism and movement. Between the strips,… I placed subtle writing and markings to add complexity and meaning.
Inspired by pop art and artists like Andy Warhol, I created a work that balances the chaos of the background with the order of the portrait.
