About this artwork
"Rhythmic Palm Trees" is an abstract interpretation of the movement of palm trees in the wind—like dancing silhouettes in the tropical air. As a child, I often admired the beautiful, graceful palm trees in my homeland of Egypt—their elegance and lightness are deeply etched in my memory.
Powerful, recurring brushstrokes in warm earth tones, deep violet, and fresh blue create a rhythmic pattern evocative of music, wind, and nature. The work invites… you to be carried away by the flow of lines and colors—a dance between memory, emotion, and movement.
Fairouz El Bahr, of Egyptian origin, works at the intersection of painting and jewelry design. Her artistic practice is characterized by a familial connection to art and an early, intuitive approach to color and materials.
Her paintings are abstract works that develop from layering, rhythm, and a dialogue with the image. The creative process remains open, allowing room for change and interpretation.
Inspired by nature, memory, and inner states, she translates sensations into color, movement, and structure. Recurring themes include change, perception, and the interplay between inner experience and the outer world. Her works are conceived as open spaces for personal perception and reflection.
