About this artwork
If asked, I would say that Fall is my favorite Season for the usual reason: color. There is something though about early Spring in the Midwest, that goes beyond color; Early Spring has a wonderful smell of damp earth and old leaves and the chill in the air that you feel in Early Spring has the promise of the Sun behind it, unlike in the Fall when the chill you feel is just the beginning of more to come. In the Fall you are surrounded, assaulted,… by loud, glorious colors everywhere you look and it's wonderful..... Through the years though, I do believe that I have come to treasure more that first quiet, single patch of Kelly Green that I spy sometime around April; resounding with the hopeful promise of the year to come.
Early Spring will come ready to hang or you may frame it, if that is your preference
« The process of putting to canvas, my perception of an actual scene or idea so that others can see what I see and hopefully feel what I feel, is the reason I create art; it brings me joy. »
