This painting was an adventure for Faith. She used palette knives, brushes, scraping tools, sandpaper, and even a crayon. She painted layers creating dimensions and the revelation of color that was revealed during scraping. It's an energetic piece full of positivity. Faith Taylor was a self-taught American talent who has participated in exhibitions throughout Los Angeles. Using a muted, earth-toned palette, she juxtaposes heavy texture, soft, blended color and the suggestion of a horizon line to mimic nature's vistas. Her resulting realist, abstract and landscape works are immersive, mysterious and rich in color and respect.
