About this artwork
In the spring, I would go out almost every day, as soon as the weather was nice, to "look for Van Gogh" in the forests. In my head, an image wanted to be born: that of an "Undergrowth" that I dreamed of painting with my camera.
One day, I arrived in the Montgeroult forest.
Beneath the still silent trees, the earth was awakening.
A carpet of blue flowers spread out like a light, fragile, and infinite breath…
The photo won the Innovation Award… at the Maisons-Laffitte Arts Fair 2025.

Fan Li, an impressionist photographer, paints with light: his camera becomes a brush, his breath, and his gesture. Using an original method developed since 2018, now protected by a patent application, he composes the image directly at the moment of capture, without retouching.
