I decided to bring something that represents me but at the same time describes a lifestyle and a cultural movement, a SnapBack
The hat has been a part of me for years and is a representative object for the hip hop culture that raised me and continues to accompany me today. Whoever wears it is not just covering their head but carries with them a symbol, a sense of belonging.
The work is slightly larger than a real SnapBack… and was modeled from concrete and plexiglass.
