Felicia Glidden is an American painter, sculptor and installation artist currently based in Germany. As a multi-disciplinary artist, Gliddens strives to creates works that possess energy, expressiveness and unusual approaches. Her pieces are most often inspired by her dreams which she tries to make tangible through the use of symbols. In addition to the subject of dreams, Glidden deals with the topic of environmental degradation and merges both themes in her works. Her trash quilts, for example, are sewn-together cardboard boxes, onto which she transfers notes from her dream journal, before rendering them with oil paint. Her work has been displayed in exhibitions throughout the US, including in Minnesota, Chicago, New Orleans, Maryland, Washington DC and New York. In Europe, she has exhibited in Wales, England and Germany. In 2017, the artist was featured in the Whitney Biennial of the Whitney Museum in New York.
