The Devil's Dung is an ironic representation of the dollar symbol, as always surrounded by the classic floral pattern typical of the artist. The title alludes to a famous definition of money, called precisely "the devil's dung" as a cause of abuse, wars and social injustices. The definition is attributed to one of the founding fathers of the Church, San Basilio Magno (330-370), but in the course of history it has been repeated many times, starting…
with Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy. In the work, the dollar sign is entirely covered with beads, making the work sparkling and precious.
