About this artwork
The rainbow house represents the refuge of imagination and creativity. A safe place from our childhood that for some reason we often try to leave too soon. In this piece, this woman is the keeper of the keys to the rainbow house. Her daily effort to preserve and feed the imagination and creativity of the little ones is a brilliant treasure that for now only seems to be visible to her. The Keys to the Rainbow House speaks of the constant effort of… mothers to inspire the spark that helps awaken the authentic personality within each boy or girl. This piece, of course, inspired by my wife, but also by every mother who devotedly cares for that magical mantle that is creativity.
Felix Zilinskas is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States. A large part of his work is inspired by music, as he is also a musician. Zilinskas enjoys unraveling the messages in song lyrics to "squeeze them to the fullest" by investigating and developing their strangest parts. For example, one of his series was inspired by the characters in Beatles songs. His vibrant pieces are created with acrylics.
