About this artwork

Femke Loves the old greek myth and sculptures of them. That is why she sometimes uses their beautiful story's for inspiration. Old masters Femkes style is the result. A combination of graffiti, fine art and daring colors. This artwork is after the beautiful myth of The Three Graces.
This painting is full of a variety of all kinds of grey, black and white, made up of thousands of layers and powerfull brushstrokes. The first layers result in chaos,… but as the painting progresses every new brushstroke slowly transforms the chaos into serenity. And when that happens she is ready. Ready for someone with guts. I consider this artwork as one of my masterpieces.

Femke Kock is an artist from the Netherlands. Just a few years ago, she left her steady job to fully dedicate herself to her career as an artist. In this short period, she has built a remarkable portfolio and won several awards. Her rendition of the Girl with a Pearl Earring was displayed in the Mauritshuis, and her works can be found in numerous private collections worldwide, from Tokyo to Paris and everywhere in between. She has also appeared on national television multiple times with her work. Femke Kock's pieces are regularly showcased at major art fairs and galleries, and she has had several notable solo exhibitions, such as at the observation deck of the Euromast in Rotterdam.
