About this artwork
This work has as its logical basis the neoplasticism of Piet Mondrian, with which I intend to explore the essential forms and colors that allow us to synthetically express reality, and structure it in its essence, leading it to a decomposed architectural appearance, without losing sight of the interpreted object. I also want to take advantage of the expressive possibilities of the gesturalist painting of abstract expressionism, and enjoy the beauty…
of the paint stain, to bring light to a work that links with the impressionist primitives in a way that I intend to be renewing.

« "The crisis of art must be overcome by bringing art closer to society." »
Fernando Aguayo has held several solo and group exhibitions of his paintings in his native Spain, Europe, United States, China, as well as the United Arab Emirates. He is fascinated by the relationship between humankind and nature. Aguayo’s self-taught style was inspired by the early avant-gardes and neoplasticists, which is manifested through his use of both straight lines and loose spots. He feels that too much detail distracts from the composition.
