My work conveys the liveliness of the urban scene, fusing realism with geometric and figurative impressions. I used acrylic, oil and Indian ink to capture the essence and pulse of the city, inviting contemplation. Fernando Aguayo has held several solo and group exhibitions of his paintings in his native Spain, Europe, United States, China, as well as the United Arab Emirates. He is fascinated by the relationship between humankind and nature. Aguayo’s self-taught style was inspired by the early avant-gardes and neoplasticists, which is manifested through his use of both straight lines and loose spots. He feels that too much detail distracts from the composition.
