I conceived this sculpture as a reflection on resistance and liberation. The texture of the bronze and cast iron gives it a tangible strength, while the figure seems to defy gravity itself. It is a piece that personifies the fight against what binds us, inviting us to contemplate and perceive the energy of eternal movement. Fernando Suárez Reguera is a Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France, Panama, and Turkey. He describes his artistic practice as the building of surviving cities of abandoned iron stilt houses, portraying "bridges without futures". Conversely, Reguera's figurative pieces convey heroism, movement, and sensuality, combining architectural elements from the East. He creates using bronze, cast iron, and steel.
