A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - This collection stages the acrobat as sculptural choreography. Cast bronze and cast-iron bodies stretch along axes, pivot on stilts, hang from rigging, or arc through air; slender steel frames read as architecture and score - cubes, lines, and anchors that measure height, risk, and breath. Patinas hold touch and time, while tensile cables and sweeping armatures script trajectories of torque and release. Seen through a choreographer’s eye, negative space becomes the arena: lift versus gravity, rebound versus stillness, the charged pause before landing. Each piece turns motion into form - poise into vector, courage into line - keeping the acrobat’s presence at center: precise, vulnerable, and airborne.
