About this artwork
Smooth and flowing, made of a special French limestone (St. Amand) with a lot of little fossiles. To pleasantly stimulate the senses: eye and hand. A minimal and abstract form, but with a warm appearance.
This sculpture is also fit for outdoor. But the surface will lose it's shine. I started this work in 2011, reworked it in 2020.

Fieke de Roij is an established Dutch sculptor who has exhibited her work nationally. Stone sculpture is her greatest love, and the stone itself her primary source of inspiration; she collects them from the street, stores and as gifts before transforming them into works of art. Her finished pieces appear at once clear and abstract, retaining visible traces of the artist's process to allow for her personal aesthetic signature to be directly communicated.
