About this artwork
This sculpture is like a mark in the landscape, think about the old bordermarks near the roman borders. It's made of two parts of Belgium bluestone (grey) and connected by al piece of limestone. You still can see the original surface of the rough stone, but also the marks of the cisel.

Fieke de Roij is an established Dutch sculptor who has exhibited her work nationally. Stone sculpture is her greatest love, and the stone itself her primary source of inspiration; she collects them from the street, stores and as gifts before transforming them into works of art. Her finished pieces appear at once clear and abstract, retaining visible traces of the artist's process to allow for her personal aesthetic signature to be directly communicated.
