This painting is an original oil and cold wax landscape painting inspired by the quiet rhythm of slender trees and soft woodland light.
Layers of professional oil paint mixed with cold wax create a beautifully textured, velvety matte surface. Subtle tones of sea blue, blush pink, sage green and earthy neutrals suggest trunks rising through the mist, distant hills and delicate seed heads.
This semi- abstract composition captures the feeling of being… surrounded by nature- calm, atmospheric and gentle up lifting. The textured surface catches natural light throughout the day, revealing depth and movement with in the layers.
Each mark is intuitive and layered, making my painting a one-of-a-kind original art work.
