About this artwork
"Midnight Guardian" is a significant work and holds a special place in my heart for several reasons.
It was painted specifically as a competition entry for the National open competition/UK, for which I was selected, exhibited and awarded a prize.
Having lived and worked in London for 25 years, it is my last/completed painting before leaving. It is an ode to London, a tribute to my journey as an artist, from Covent Garden to a prestigious solo exhibition.…
The work is particularly personal to me, as the architectural elements are inspired by my apartment block and the flowers by the hidden city garden that became my oasis and inspiration.
