About this artwork
A moment when you see the water as far as you look, the next moment, sandy plains emerge with seals closing their eyes to the sun. Because the sea recedes twice a day, creating a plain for humans in this region of the Wadden which is therefore the largest tidal zone in the world. Nowhere else can you find such plains that dry out at low tide and overlap at high tide. It was not without reason that it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This… small format landscape will give you a taste of the salty sea air. Although small, it gives off a feeling of immensity because the illusion of depth of the painting is given by the layering of the plans. Brush technique.
