About this artwork
"Origin" is part of a series of paintings created for an exhibition entitled: "Hymn to Life".
I was inspired by the music and lyrics of the songs of the band Coldplay, which accompanied me throughout each creation, both physically through dance and pictorial gesture and with sound and voice.
"Music of shapes and colors,
imaginary blooms inspired by the nature of Reunion.
Watercolor dance,
creation of a luminous elsewhere, bursting with joy,…

Florie Bonnet, born in Réunion and graduated in Art and Design in Birmingham (UK), masters a variety of mediums such as pastels, watercolor, acrylic, ink, collage, 3D structures and digital techniques. Her eclectic style oscillates between the abstract and the figurative, exploring organic and geometric forms and plays of light. She infuses each work with a joyful sensibility and vibrant energy, transmitting wonder, inner peace and a luminous softness, inspired by tropical nature and the deep emotions of her personal life.
