About this artwork
“Arizona” is inspired by geological formations and the interplay of light and earth. Warm ochre and rust tones meet cool blue expanses, while delicate gilding appears like traces of sunlight on fractured rock.
In this work, I combine acrylic paint, marble dust, richly textured modeling paste, and gold pigments on canvas. The layering and partial uncovering of the surface creates a relief-like materiality reminiscent of erosion and natural transformation… processes.
With "Arizona," I explore the tension between transience and inner strength. Structure and stillness are in dialogue, creating an atmosphere that radiates depth and meditative stillness. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and can be hung directly.
