Silent Residue - curated by Giulia Falcone

A curation by Giulia Falcone, Art Expert || • Curator • Senior Advisor • Critic • Mentor at International Galleries and Institutions - When the gesture ends, the material continues to speak. What remains is not an echo, but an autonomous presence that asserts itself in the silence. The residue no longer belongs to the artist: it is a separate organism, endowed with a life that continues beyond the intention—and yet it bears its most intimate imprint, like a fragment of the soul left to breathe elsewhere. The surface records traces, stratifications, minimal signs that become the language of persistence. In this suspended space, the end of action coincides with the beginning of transformation. Silence is not emptiness, but density: a slowed-down time in which matter reworks itself. Silent Residue explores this survival of the gesture, where the remainder becomes the nucleus and the absence transforms into presence. A balance between what has been and what still vibrates—like a voice that continues to resonate in the dust.
