About this artwork
This work is based on creating ambiguity between planes. At first glance, the line appears to be in the foreground and the colored background in the background. But by increasing the width of the line (see the works in the V series, where the lines are comparatively thinner), I realized that this reshuffled the cards. By physically gaining more prominence, the line paradoxically seems to bring the background to the forefront, which, by being fragmented,…
reveals massive objects. Depending on whether one looks at these objects or at the line, it is the object that is not being viewed that is brought to the foreground.
