About this artwork
Connac and its bell tower peacefully dominate the Tarn valley, well surrounded by its fields bordered by hedges.
The beautiful September light casts brioche yellows on the roofs, windows and foliage, while the small cemetery displays its forest of white crosses that shine in the sun.
A small sunken path descends between its dry stone walls covered with wild grass, a thin line of fresh, pinkish shadows between fields bathed in golden yellow and… sunshine.
The drawing used as the basis for the painting was done on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 4 p.m.
