The southeast shore of the island of Amorgos, in the Greek archipelago of the Cyclades.
Large cliffs falling into the sea, dark blue and sparkling in the sun, a tiny white sand beach sheltered by the islet of Mikro Biokastro,
the air that vibrates under the heat in the silence of the afternoon...
Lots of light and little color, only blues and earths resist and come in an infinity of tones.
The drawing that served as the basis for the painting… dates from September 7, 1994
