About this artwork
This painting was designed and created by the artist upon her return from South Korea, where she was in Residence for a month (Haslla Art World). Over the course of an afternoon, a Korean Lacquer Master came to share with the artists present his art of using lacquer, this incredible and bewitching red.
A privileged moment, in the middle of a wooded and green park, also an exhibition space for artists of all nationalities. It is this extraordinary… moment that Françoise Castellon wanted to transcribe.
"Eclat": She put her feelings on the canvas, this dazzling, this surprise to see the lacquer changing color under her eyes. Multiple shimmering tones and colors are laid in successive layers: shades of green, subtle blues... reds, oranges, yellows, golds... carry us away with force.
