About this artwork
This painting reflects the experience of moving through difficulty while holding onto the possibility of light. Layered, turbulent forms recall a sea in transformation, where waves fold into one another beneath a dark, expansive sky. The movement feels restrained rather than explosive, capturing a moment when energy gathers inward.
Built through successive layers of texture and deep tonal shifts, the surface allows light to emerge gradually from… within the darkness.
For me, this work is about resilience rather than drama: staying present inside difficulty, carrying weight while continuing forward, and making space for light to take hold step by step.

Artist Statement: My work explores the interplay between nature's elements and human resilience, drawing inspiration from clouds, ocean waves, and landscapes. These forms reflect life's challenges and transformations.
Through layered textures and organic shapes, I capture transitions where calm meets chaos, strength meets upheaval. My style combines soft tones with vibrant contrasts, highlighting the balance between adaptability and strength.
I invite viewers to connect with these abstract landscapes, celebrating our shared journey of growth and resilience. Influences include Zao Wou-Ki, Julie Mehretu, traditional Chinese ink painters, and architects like Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry.
