About this artwork
A woman in a lilac dress walks away along a path, her back turned to the viewer, her hair pulled back in a loose, casual updo. Around her, the forest is all copper and ochre leaves, shaded in impressionistic touches that dissolve in the diffuse autumn light.
We don't see his face, only his silent presence within the landscape—a figure moving toward something out of frame, leaving the viewer room to imagine where he is going or what he is thinking.…
Fall is both a portrait from behind and a seasonal portrait: the same warm, fading light passes through both the dress and the trees, as if the figure were as much a part of the landscape as the branches.
Technique: oil on canvas
Dimensions: 50 × 70 cm
Year: 2017
Signed front and back. Unframed.

Francesca Licchelli
Italy
Francesca Licchelli is a painter with a solid classical education, enriched by years of apprenticeship in drawing, oil painting, fresco, mosaic, and stained glass. Her works oscillate between figuration and abstraction: this balance emerges through a structural and expressive use of color, close-up compositions, and essential forms achieved through oil, watercolor, and pastel. Her canvases exude an intense serenity: she strives to convey silence, intensity, and a profound connection with the spiritual dimension of nature.
