About this artwork
In the foreground, the curve of a peach rises like the side of a mountain, red and orange, and stands out above the other fruits: a magenta plum, two apples, the pale roundness of a melon. The close-up blurs any outline and makes the fruits appear to be raised, with the peach plane occupying almost the entire sheet. The soft pastel builds the shapes with layers of cream, magenta, red, and gold, and the warm light slides across the peels, leaving…
clear reflections and deep shadows. More than a group of fruits, it is a study in color and volume, in which the warm reds contrast with the plum's purple.

Francesca Licchelli
Italy
Francesca Licchelli is a painter with a solid classical education, enriched by years of apprenticeship in drawing, oil painting, fresco, mosaic, and stained glass. Her works oscillate between figuration and abstraction: this balance emerges through a structural and expressive use of color, close-up compositions, and essential forms achieved through oil, watercolor, and pastel. Her canvases exude an intense serenity: she strives to convey silence, intensity, and a profound connection with the spiritual dimension of nature.
