In this oil painting, I combine the realistic and semi-abstract styles to express the complexity and fragility of human strength and vulnerability. The boxer, done in a subdued palette, symbolizes the fight against inner and outer opponents. His gaze, determined but somewhat uncertain, asks for an emotional response from the viewer. This work is a reflection on courage and the human condition, perfect to bring a meaningful dynamic to any space.

Dutch artist Francien Krieg skillfully captures the wisedom and beauty of the human form in her portraits. Favouring female nudes Krieg's naturalistic style provides the viewer with a truthful and often emotive portrayal of the ageing process.
